I’m watching the last 30 minutes of Totoro…

There was this part where Mei-chan & Satsuki planted seeds into the ground.
the seeds did not sprout even after a while, and both girls were getting restless about it.
one night, Totoro was spotted near the area where they planted the seeds, doing a ceremonial-like dance in which the girls joined in.
Almost instantly, the seeds grew tall and dense! (that moment felt really good).

the next morning… when both girls woke up, the trees were not there anymore, BUT! the seeds sprouted seedlings!

Satsuki jumped and exclaimed in joy, 「夢だけど!」(Even though it’s a dream…)
Mei-chan did the same but said, 「夢じゃなかった!」(It’s not a dream!!)

“Totoro” gives me a little more strength to believe again.
I want to be like Mei-chan, a child who views the world through the faculty of wonder.

I want to be able to say 「夢じゃなかった!」.

oh… and I love her dad! The way he believes his daughters is magnificent.
a loving daddy…

did I forget to mention the soundtrack? one word – Breathtaking!

Note: I love the part @ the Japanese Restaurant. The most awkward place (since Tony Leung’s a betrayer for the nation to the Japanese) yet held the most romantic scene in the entire story!

Best Movie I’ve watched in years. Tony Leung depicted the best withdrawn character I’ve seen! His eyes did draw my heart into his bottomless hole of a soul! – not only Tang Wei’s character’s. I can understand why she fell so completely; it’s the satisfaction (of a woman) of being able to occupying a infinite space, the reciprocal of emotions and feelings. The movie told it all perfectly! :)

Quote from the part just before he found out the TRUTH

麥太太: 你看我選的鑽石怎麼樣?
易先生: 我對鑽石沒興趣。我只想看鑽石戴在你手上。
I don’t remember the exact words…
but I love the way he said it!

I watched this movie today and it’s FABULOUS!
FAVORITE movie of the year, i’ll say!

the entire story, casting (Takeshi Kaneshiro!!!) and screenplay is WOOSH~!
swept me off my feet… before they got sliced of by Jet Li’s swift moving polearm.

I’m in awe…so much so that I don’t know how to comment but the review in imdb.com kind of reflects whatever I feel about the movie… in fact, it told me things that I didn’t notice!

Takeshi Kaneshiro’s a little out of place from the setting for the movie though~ but who cares~ he’s too cute to be left behind! and … and … Jet Li is still my hero after so many years! he exudes “I’m a hero” kind of charisma! hahaha
not much comments for Andy Lau, he’s not my kind! HA!
