This was one of my first Mayu Shinjo’s series. I used to read her One-Shot stories when I was younger.
Haou Airen is my favourite among all of her stuff in my collection.

NANA

NANA might be my 「ICHIBAN」favourite manga & story of all time.
It’s realistic (not in every sense but still), I love most of the characters, and Yazawa-sensei’s art is marvelous!
The unhealthy friendship between the 2 Nana-s, the complicated love emotions and the uncertainty of life(lives) = 最高だ！

獨領風騷~The One~
(Du Ling Feng Sao)

A “newer” manga that I’ve been reading. Nicky Lee’s artwork is one of the nicest I’ve seen. I love love love the way she draws the models in the manga.
They do look VERY different. It’s like looking through the eyes of a photographer. Seeing things the way they do.

(Tsuki no Shippo)

I started this series since Volume 1… and I stayed with it all the way till its final chapter.
The ending was really sweet for Hanzo and Usagi, not for my most beloved Ranmaru.
Oh, why do I always fall in love with the wrong guy?

My first official “incest” book.
Maybe, that explains why I love it so much.
That’s of course, leaving aside the cute drawing, heart-wrenching storyline.
I air-flew this entire series back from one of my Hong Kong trips (along with another series that could not be found in Singapore then).
It was so heavy but damn, it was damn worth the effort.

ビリオンガール
(Billion Girl)

I’m still EARGERLY waiting for the promised second season., but Sakai-sensei seems to be working on a few other projects.
The art in this series is a little, ahemz, retro-ish. BUT! The story is still one of the best I’ve read. Love story, that is.

彼氏彼女の事情
(Kareshi Kanojo no Jijyou)

Another series that I followed through. I started it, thinking that it’s some comedy & romance kinda story, but it was not that superficial.
Kare Kano left me rethinking about many things about life and the meaning of happiness. Love it!
Favourite Character:
– 有馬総一郎 – (Arima Souichirou)
oh! and his father, who looks 89% like him at the end of the series. BUT! His father had the “dangerous” feel that Souchirou lacks.
Just let me go search the manga for a picture of his dad.
