Damn! it’s a bloody good show…
bawled my eyes out…
:) I really like it.

Rating:

One thing I definitely nodded my head to – friendship is not measured by duration & identity.
Same goes for the value of a person… as well as the “joys” of one’s life.
Mine is just different from yours… but it doesn’t mean that my joys are not joys – and that I have led a regretful life …

Here’s the start of my Bucket List:

1 – Publish a book
2 – Go for Gackt’s concert in Japan
3 – Go on a roller coaster
4 – Ride a Harley Davidson on my own
5 – … ….

I’m supposed to be studying…
what a wet blanket!
so I’m super stoned… but I know my bucket list will be very long, and very crossed out by the end of my life

I’m watching the last 30 minutes of Totoro…

There was this part where Mei-chan & Satsuki planted seeds into the ground.
the seeds did not sprout even after a while, and both girls were getting restless about it.
one night, Totoro was spotted near the area where they planted the seeds, doing a ceremonial-like dance in which the girls joined in.
Almost instantly, the seeds grew tall and dense! (that moment felt really good).

the next morning… when both girls woke up, the trees were not there anymore, BUT! the seeds sprouted seedlings!

Satsuki jumped and exclaimed in joy, 「夢だけど!」(Even though it’s a dream…)
Mei-chan did the same but said, 「夢じゃなかった!」(It’s not a dream!!)

“Totoro” gives me a little more strength to believe again.
I want to be like Mei-chan, a child who views the world through the faculty of wonder.

I want to be able to say 「夢じゃなかった!」.

oh… and I love her dad! The way he believes his daughters is magnificent.
a loving daddy…

did I forget to mention the soundtrack? one word – Breathtaking!

Before the movie, I thought I was in for 1 1/2 hour of laughter & after that, I’ll forget all about it; like any other Stephen Chow’s movie.
But no, CJ7 made me re-think the value of everyday life that I had been taking for granted.
Right at the beginning, I was very very touched by how Stephen Chow showed the bond & Love between Father and Son. Even without anything material, the father gives the son more love than many other parent-child relationship that I’ve came across. Even when he has to work long hours (even over time), he spends meaningful hours of interaction, bonding and giving love to his son with simple acts that Stephen Chow portrayed in the movie.

Sure, there are hilarious scenes, and I appreciate them in their entirety. This is because, I would be tearing non-stop if not for the appropriate insertion of humor at the appropriate times.
The last few scenes just hit me right in the tear glands.

I love this movie. It made me think about a lot of stuff; makes me want to appreciate & cherish what I have even more.

update!:: oh!! how can I forget… the little girl’s acting is SUPERB!
