Just eat the cake you fool!

Since my mom, younger sister and future students (Yes, I’ll start teaching secondary school kids in September) might be reading this… I shall conceal my dark secrets and reveal those that are suitable for their eyes.
“Unknown” is in quotes because there are people who do know some stuff on the list. e.g. close friends, Eric and *gasp* (maybe) my mom

1. The time I spend on games is much much more than you had thought or imagined.

2. My ambition when I was young and ignorant - A taxi driver that drives through ECP regardless of pickup point and destination.

3. I’ve imagined myself as various male characters in different stories that I had came across over the years -including raunchy ones.

4. My preference in guys - tall, perfect eyesight and a lot older or younger
My boyfriend, however, does not meet two of my preferences. He won me over - although he denies wooing me - with many more things that are more important than what I’ve listed.

5. I enjoy drooling over gorgeous females. (this might freak my mom out)
Notable females in my collection of goddesses: Angelina Jolie, Alyssa Milano, Catherine Zeta Jones, Scarlett Johansson and Evangeline Lily - just to list a few.

6. I’m extremely terrified by moths and cockroaches. Moths win cockroaches hands down!

7. I like collecting all sorts of stuff - please call me Angeline the Garang Guni Man.
Cards, messages and postcards from primary school days are still fresh in my Garang Guni Box.
Also, I like metal tins and metallic boxes of all sorts. I keep money, foreign currencies (that I collect) and new Singapore Dollar Notes in some of them.

8. I have a ridiculous amount of mechanical pencils and I’m a shopaholic when it comes to stationary.

9. I can read the same novel and manga series any number of times. I’ve lost count for Harry Potter and some of the Chinese novels.
It’s the same for my music playlists… I can put the same playlist on repeat for the entire day. The only things I cannot stand going through again are movies and drama series.

10. I don’t like to wear accessories like watches, necklaces and I dislike putting on makeup. (but I guess the latter is because I’m extremely lazy; whenever I have makeup on, my face feels clogged up and washing them off is a pain in the a$$)
However, I like wearing rings (YES! MORE RINGS), bracelets & bangles and earrings (loop ones are nice!).

These are not dark secrets… as I said, I have people, who belongs to the league of the faint hearted people, who might read this entry - so I had practiced some discretion.
However, I started this post with several points in mind - all except one did not pass my discretion analysis.

在悠闲的一天，有着一叠叠的书围绕着。
On a day when I’m free to do whatever I want to, there will be piles of books surrounding me.
懒惰整理的话，那些书便会遍布在松松软软地床垫上。
Well, if I’m lazy, the books will be strewn on my soft and bouncy bed instead of being in neat piles.
虽然会显得有点凌乱，还是可以感受到小小的幸福气息。
Although it’ll seem a little messy, it’ll still exudes the feeling of happiness.
懒洋洋地靠在床头，左边的书桌有一杯热腾腾的红茶，怀里抱着心爱的田中先生。
I’ll lean against the headrest of the bed, with a cup of piping hot tea by the side table on the left, and my beloved Tanaka-san in my arms.
希望天气适中，不要太热，也不要太冷。
I hope for the weather to be just right, not to hot and not too cold.
然后，在从乱乱地书堆中慢慢挑选想看的书。
And I’ll take my time to pick out the book that I’m want to read.
房间弥漫着声量刚好的音乐 － 最好是GACKT的悦人曲目或能松解紧绷神经的音乐。
The room will be filled with music at the right volume - of course, it’ll be the best if it’s Gackt’s wonderful melodies or music that can relax the stiffest nerves.
光线足够之余，房间也最好有着淡淡地消毒水味道。
The room will be illuminated with enough light and it’ll be even better if it smells like the disinfectant from those dental clinics.
读着喜欢的书籍时，希望能被它的内容牵动。
While I read my chosen book, I will hope to be involved in its contents.
在有了小小的感动时，会不自禁地流下眼泪。
Whenever I feel the tug in my heart, I’ll tear a little.
碰到诙谐场面时，会打从心里的大笑。
If there’s a humorous scene, I’ll laugh sincerely.
成功领悟出其中的各种道理及人生哲学时，会不自禁地小声说出“啊！原来如此。” 或者也可以以猛点头的方式来庆祝。
When I understand the various underlying meanings and philosophies, I’ll whisper “Ah! So that’s what it is.” without knowing it, or I’ll nod at the text in agreement.
在喝完那杯茶之后，就接到“他”打来的电话。
After finishing the cup of tea, “He” will call.
不是约我吃饭就是过来我家陪我。（当然，偶尔跑去“他”家也不错）
It’ always about asking me out for meals or telling me that “he” will be coming over. (Of course, going over to “his” place occasionally will be good too)
在“他”到之前，先把看起来像狗窝似的房间稍微整理一下。
Before “he” arrives, I’ll stow away the books and organize my messy room.
这样，“他”一到就能躺在床上休息。（“他”住好远哦！）
With that, “he” can rest on the bed when “he” finally arrives. (”He” lives real far away)
吃了他买来的早饭／午饭／晚饭后，就开启电脑玩着World of Warcraft。
When I finish the meal that “he” bought for me, we’ll start the computers and play World of Warcraft.
即使一整天腻在一起，也不会觉得闷或单调。
Even if we are together the entire day, I’ll never get bored or dulled by it.

每一天只要过得开心，不受他人限制。
I’ll be satisfied with just staying happy and free of the worldly restrictions.
只要每天的快乐不是建立在他人的不幸与痛苦上，快乐即便是我的幸福。
As long as my happiness is not build on other people’s misfortune or misery, being happy is my greatest bliss.

I just felt like posting something in Chinese.
Oh my, my Mother Tongue is getting from bad to worse.
There are so many words that I couldn’t remember.
I shall go read my Chinese novels again and refresh my memory.

I doubt Gintama will ever drop out of my fav anime list!
Since the day I watched episode 1…. Gintama has been topping my favorite anime list!

I’m watching Dragonball now~ Although I had finished Z and GT… I realized that I’ve never ever completed the first series.
it’s delightful to live through my childhood again~

コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュ R2

(Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2)

I like both the first and second series.
I’ve always liked Clamp’s art… (much to the dislike of Eric… he thinks they have limbs that are far too elongated and thin)
and… in Geass, everyone looks so good.
Even if the art is not as nice, the story captured my heart regardless of the graphics.

機動戦士ガンダム00

(Gundam 00)

I’ve been a fan for many other Gundam stories but I liked this one more than the others.
it hurts to watch the characters go through death, separation, hatred, anguish and many other tormenting emotions…
but there are many “truths” in the show that I feel we shouldn’t neglect and overlook.
oh and, GN-004 Nadleeh is too chio!

新世紀エヴァンゲリオン

(Neon Genesis Evangelion)

I’m a big (and perverted) fan for Ayanami Rei!
and… the many philosophies + ideas behind Evangelion intrigues me to this very moment.
the show feels like an amplification of people’s inner thoughts, hidden emotions and deepest desires.
Also, I love stories that were spun out of the wildest imaginations of their creators.
羨まし〜 I wish I have such an imagination… one that is very different and out of the world yet it can resonate with people out there
